Help!!!

Ok God has really been moving me to have a desire to go to Passion fest this year. (Jan. 1-4)
Only issue is i have no one to go with, and i would really like this experience to be one i share with a brother in Christ.

I'm going to keep praying about it, and maybe it is not God's desire for me to go.  But if somebody would be so inclined to attend with me (even if they require monetary assistance), it would rock beyond measure.  Think of all the spiritual growth and brotherly connections we would develop together through Christ!

Relinquishment

It's amazing how when you stumble into a problem you are constantly reminded of it.  Some of you may know my issue, but to those who don't do not worry. It's so small and insignificant i feel like a baby even thinking about it.  Just one of those cultural expectations that is stirring in my mind and everywhere i go it is brought to my attention.

Blah, Jake btw you suck for last night.  You put ideas in my head that i neither need nor appreciate.  Grr.  Provocator of my mind is what your title should now be.

My point though is that I am going to honestly try not to focus on this issue.  Only problem, "the spirit is willing but the body is weak."(Matthew 26: 41)  Im tired of being concerned and trying to impress those who matter least.  I dont want it to delay my ministry or distract me in my work so i must be unconcerned with it and simply keep my eyes to the clouds.  So Im giving it up.  Its not my will but God's alone that will be done.  I am relinquishing over this small thing that for some reason ive held onto whilst God has received everything else.  This just makes far more sense.

If you were at Angies party last night, I salute you for your costume which was better than mine.  (I knew i should have brought the guitar)

poign·ant

1. Profoundly moving; touching: a poignant memory.
2. Piercing; incisive: poignant criticism.
3. Neat, skillful, and to the point: poignant illustrations
supplementing the text.
4. Astute and pertinent; relevant: poignant suggestions.
5. Agreeably intense or stimulating: poignant delight.

I was reading first Corinthians again hoping for some guidance, when i came upon chapter 7 verse 32: An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord's affairs-how he can please the Lord.

Lately I have dreaded loneliness and solitude, finding myself only reading either the Bible or C.S. Lewis books in my spare time. The single life is a cinder block around my neck as i swim across this lake they call life. All ive been doing is staying busy to keep my mind off it.

Luckily i enjoy reading and this is where the point of this blog lies. The Bible is often referred to as the living word, that it will speak to you when you come to it for guidance. The definition of poignant i listed at the beginning of the blog is what the Bible is so often to me, beyond relevancy. The holy Spirit allows me to find the verses i need and interpret them the proper way that ensures me receiving guidance.

Go get some poignancy in your life. Ponder the Word.
